Colosseum, Forums and Palatine Hill Regular Tickets

Do you prefer to tour on your own? You can choose to do so when you purchase a Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill Regular Admission Ticket. It allows you to tour these three historical monuments by yourself. And you also get to hand-pick the time and date you want to visit them. Each one has a separate ticket entrance but you can use the same admission ticket to enter them all. 

Explore ancient Rome by entering the Colosseum, an oval amphitheatre in the heart of the city Rome, Italy. Used as the its main entertainment venue -once you’re there- you go back in time and you get a view of the main arena from above and detail the columns designs.  The Colosseum was used for battles between gladiators, executions, animal hunts, dramatic plays and much more. Once done, you can head on to the Roman Forum, where you will visit the main square of ancient Rome. You’ll find yourself surrounded by the ruins of government buildings. Explore the plaza and get a glimpse of how Romans lived day to day where you can visit temples, markets and monuments through the same streets like Julius Caesar or Emperor Nero. From the Roman Forum it’s a short walk up to the Palatine Hill, where you can visit the ruins of the houses that belonged most prestigious sector, emperors and kings that lived there over the centuries. Its located on one of the seven hills of Rome. 

Don’t forget to get take pictures along the way to capture ancient Rome’s former glory. Best times to visit are during low tourist season from October to March, and the best hours are first thing in the morning when the Colosseum opens, or late in the afternoon after 4pm. 

It takes about 3 hours – an average of one hour per site – to complete the tour. You can spend as much time as you want on each site and take in all the power, knowledge and history these places have to offer.  

Please take into consideration the following advice: wear comfortable shoes and clothes for the tour, it’s forbidden to enter with large backpacks, bulky bags and luggage or trolley. You may enter with small to medium bags, that will be opened and visually inspected by the security. For safety reasons only 3,000 people are allowed inside, so there could be delays in accessing the site. 

When you purchase the ticket for the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine HIll and other ongoing exhibitions is valid from first usage for 1 entrance to the Colosseum and 1 entrance to the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Also, from January 1st 2020, this ticket will also allow entry to the Imperial Forum.
